Plastinkuzz DJ Scratch Card – Feel Like a DJ Anytime, Anywhere

Are you impressed at how real DJs spice up their set by mixing it up a bit with a technique called scratching? plastinkuzz_dj_scratch_cardDoes the scratching noise fascinate you? And do you ever see yourself scratching like a DJ to impress and get the crowd pumped up? If you say yes to all these, then here’s a perfect geek toy for you – the Plastinkuzz DJ Scratch Card.

Created by Russian Design Studio Art Lebedev (creator of the Optimus Maximus keyboard), this Plastinkuzz DJ Scratch Card allows you to carry a turntable in your pocket or in your wallet, ready to be used in case of impromptu scratching. To produce that authentic turntable scratching sound, all you have to do is to run your fingernail across the card’s color surface just like what DJs do in a real turntable.

Now, if you will notice, this DJ scratch card has a turntable that looks as if it’s floating above the card’s surface. So, what makes this possible? It’s the lenticular technology that gives it a 3-D look. And, that makes it even more impressive, aside from the scratching noise that it allows you to create.

So, who says real DJs are the only ones capable of doing this scratch thing? Even if you are not a pro, this Plastinkuzz DJ Scratch Card will sure bring out that DJ in you. As long as you have that inclination for music, this portable geek toy will make you feel like a DJ anytime, anywhere.

First Glance at the DJ Hero Controller

We’ve rocked it out with our Guitar Hero controllers. We’ve banged on drums for Rock Band. We’ve crooned on the mic for the top score. But this is not the end-all of rockstardom.

FreeStyleGames and Activision once again brings out the music star in us by bringing us hopefuls to the turntable. DJ Hero is set to invade our consoles by the end of this year.

Yes, Activision Publishing, Inc. is set to once again transform how consumers interact with music by releasing three new titles this fall, including DJ Hero. The slate will modify the way consumers enjoy and engage with music by presenting the biggest array of music genres, innovative technologies and new social entertainment experiences for existing aficionados and millions of new consumers who previously have not joined Guitar Hero’s global community of fans.

DJ Hero will primarily simulate Turntablism and will feature gameplay similar to the Guitar Hero games. The controller will consist of a wireless deck having a turntable, 3 buttons, an effects dial, and a crossfader. DJ Hero will transform players into DJs who rule the club scene by producing original mixes of popular songs and music from the world’s most thrilling artists and DJs. Notes will travel in an arc across a spinning record, and the player will hold down one of the 3 buttons and scratch the turntable to play notes. The effects dial will work like the whammy bar in the Guitar Hero games.

Again, DJ Hero will be available later this year but no exact date has been set. In the meantime, you can sign up here on Amazon to be one of the firsts to know the moment DJ Hero hits the market.
