Looking for new gift ideas? Why not try these Ziiiro Watches? I know, most people look forward to receiving high-end gadgets this Christmas, but if your budget can’t accommodate to give such, then you’d better stick to wrapping one of these really cool watches. They’re not the usual type anyway because look ma, these watches have no hands to tell the time! Kind of weird, but they actually look more fashionable than your old watch. So, if you want to give something unique this coming holiday season, then consider any of these options:

ZIIRO CELESTE – This watch displays the time using only two transparent colored discs. These two discs actually overlap each other to create an array of stylish blue and grey. This watch comes mainly with a matte stainless steel casing and strap, and it is available in four colors such as Black/Mono, Gunmetal/Mono, Gunmetal/Colored and Chrome/Colored.

ZIIIRO ORBIT – As its name implies, the hour and minute can be determined as they orbit around their parent star ZIIIRO. This is actually built with two orbs, one which is colored and another which is white. The former is used to tell the hour while the latter is to tell the minute. And as for the strap, it’s actually designed to be like a bracelet strap, so you can easily interchange it with other models in the rubber bracelet series. Colors available for this are: white, grey, ocean, and banana.

ZIIIRO GRAVITY – This watch presents a really simple way of telling the time; all you need to do is look at the swirls – with the inner twirl displaying the current hour and the outer swirl representing the minue. This is available in 9 colors including red, green, and magenta.

New Generation Seiko E-Ink Watch with Active Matrix System

Have you heard about the world’s first “Electronic Ink” watch which was unveiled by Seiko in 2005? This gizmo is outfitted with a display that was super thin and with high contrast, providing users with much higher visibility from wider angle which is almost 180 degrees. Called the “E-Ink,” this watch needs low level of power despite its huge display. These days, SEIKO brings this amazing technology into a new age with its new watch that features an active matrix display.

SEIKO takes pride in being not just the first but also the only company that’s capable of harnessing Active Matrix EPD technology in a watch. EPD, which stands for Electrophoretic Display, is a way of display employing electronic ink technology. Aside from EPD technology, this new thingy from SEIKO comes with strikingly clear display which shows off information three times better than any other technology included in conventional LCD watches. By integrating such system, the watch is able to display text, figures, and graphics on the dial in a smoother and programmable manner.

Unlike other watches with full-sized screens, power consumption of the new generation Seiko E-Ink Watch has been reduced considerably. The company made it possible because of three innovations such as the A TFT, which deals with the signal to the display; the low-energy IC which is used to control the TFT; and EPD driver which takes full advantage of the capabilities of E-Ink technology. This new SEIKO watch comes with a large-sized panel which has been made possible by reducing the dimensions of the surrounding area.

Distance Over Time Equals Garmin Forerunner 110

Unless you’re eyeing to break Usain “Lightning” Bolt’s three-time Olympic gold medal streak and his record breaking 9.58 second 100 meter dash, chances are the only questions you need to answer when you’re going for your daily run are how fast and how far. And that is what the new Garmin Forerunner sports watch is simply all about: speed and distance. This affordable, contemporary and smart sports watch is specially designed to cater to runners, joggers and walkers who want to keep their workout straightforward and simple. Just press the start button and you can immediately know the distance covered, speed and time without the need to set-up complicated and unnecessary fitness accessories. Forerunner 110 displays your pace in two ways; one is the average over the present lap/mile (must enable auto-lap) and the other one is over the duration of the run. To take the workout up a notch, an optional Garmin heart rate monitor can be worn to show the heart rate and burned calories on each run.

The Garmin Forerunner 110 is water resistant and smaller than most GPS-enabled fitness watches out there. It features a highly receptive SiRFstarIV GPS receiver with Garmin’s HotFix technology that provides fast and reliable satellite reception even under dense wooded trails or concrete and towering high-rise buildings. This GPS enabled sports watch is readily available in black and grey, charcoal and red, and gray and pink color combination. It can operate for up to 8 hours under intense GPS/training mode and three weeks during power-save mode.

Casio Pathfinder PRG110C-3 – Powerful and Convenient Tough Solar Watch

Do you want to go green? Then why not start with the accessories you’re wearing like your watch? Thanks to Casio Pathfinder PRG110C-3, you can now help trim down the number of batteries being trashed by Americans each year. Included in Casio’s line of TOUGH SOLAR watches, the Pathfinder uses power that’s generated by a solar battery in order to charge its rechargeable battery that activates the watch functions. It’s more than just an eye candy; this watch is also perfect for people who need a barometer, an altimeter, a digital compass, and a thermometer.

Since it is a TOUGH SOLAR watch from Casio, the Pathfinder is capable of doing high-load functions with big power requirements like sensors and alarms. Best is, it doesn’t even need a battery replacement because it recharges even just in low light coming from a fluorescent lamp. This nature-friendly gizmo enables users to enjoy almost unlimited use of different watch functions including full-auto backlight, and radio control wave reception. This watch also allows the wearer to utilize its advanced sensors for gauging atmospheric pressure and direction, as well as temperature. Among the Casio Pathfinder’s superb features are full-auto backlight for display illumination, battery power indicator, and power save function. As the name implies, the battery power indicator displays the charge level of the battery for easy monitoring. Furthermore, the power save feature is used for automatic electricity saving since its LCD automatically turns off so as not to consume too much power if the watch is in the dark.
