The Wii might have revolutionized the way we play our console games with its intuitive motion detecting controllers and cute graphics. Though cute graphics might not really traditional gamer’s stuff, the action packed moves used to interact with the game does appeal. So what needs to be done is to make those “traditional” gamers play like how Wii players does with the use of new controllers to play old game genres. Take example the classic Tony Hawk game series now souped up with the Ride controller.
Tony Hawk game series is one of the classic and indispensable titles for console games which appealed to a vast number of gamers. Though flips, stunts and 360s are sure hit among players, it could be a littler boring with just the fingers having all the action. The Ride controller takes the game into a more realistic level by having a skateboard right in front of the player. The user will have to literally skate to make the character start moving. There are over a 100 tricks to master which can be a bit challenging now that a board is used instead of just doing a series of button presses. The board comes with a specific game titled Tony Hawk: Ride which works especially with the motion sensing board. First time players won’t have to worry since a casual difficulty setting is available for easy learning.
This new rock solid skateboarding game is available across the different game consoles(Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii) and is available through Amazon.

Sony also took advantage of the immersing new media format, the Blu-Ray technology and incorporated it to the PS3. Another great feature is that no gamer will be an island with PS3’s support for the Internet with its built-in Wi-Fi and Free PlayStation Network Access. The newer 160 GB release of PS3 made things even better. The 160 GB of included storage means more games, save files, music and images.
Looking back in the good old Playstation 2 days, there is this camera device called the EyeToy. It was designed for interactive gaming on the PS2. It was popular in its time but really didn’t took off a long distance due to the limited games available. But with the advent of Wii, Sony is replicating the user interaction part of gaming with the Playstation Eye for the PS3.
