Nokia X6 – an all-new phone or just the same as the Nokia 5800? Definitely not!
There was a lot to like with Nokia’s first touch screen [5800 XpressMusic] but there’s definitely room for improvement, and Nokia did that to the X6. The most obvious change is the shift from using resistive touch screen technology to the more responsive capacitive screen type. Meaning, the X6 will respond quickly to input from your fingers, rather than having an attached stylus. Nokia also seems to have learnt that you can’t have a rocking music player without storage, so the X6 gets a whopping upgrade from the 5800′s paltry 81MB of storage to 32GB. And if this is insufficient, you have the option to purchase a microSD card separately and increase the storage to a possible 48GB in total.
The 3.2-inch widescreen display is optimised for photos and videos, proving the Nokia X6 is more than just a musical masterpiece. Pack 20 friends onto your homescreen, along with communities such as Facebook and it’s also a fully connected social butterfly. Did we mention the 35 hours of music playback? Well, what about 16 days standby time, a 5-megapixel camera and Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash, TV-out, video editing, online sharing, Nokia Music store, full web browser and Flash Lite support.
Still want more? Okay then! To complete the entertainment experience, the X6 is equipped by three embedded games – Spore by EA, Asphalt4 and DJ Mix Tour by Gameloft, and direct access from the homescreen to download more games and applications through the Ovi Store.
The retail price of this phone will be around €450 ($679), though the pricing will certainly vary from carrier to carrier. Way too expensive? Well, you can always go for other Nokia Xpressmusic Phones here.

Nokia has been around mobile phone business for a while now but haven’t quite jumped into the touchscreen “next iPhone†category bandwagon yet. Other mobile phone companies took on the touchscreen business since the competition to take on the iPhone began; for example HTC has Touch, LG has Cookie, Samsung has Omnia and the list goes on. It didn’t take long before Nokia finally gave-in into producing a touchscreen model though; they released the 5800 XpressMusic as their first touchscreen phone. What came next the 5800 is well worth the wait – the Nokia 5230. The 5230 is the latest Nokia touchscreen mobile phone with all the trimmings comparable to iPhone 3G while retaining Nokia’s familiar and easy to use interface and design. The following are the notable features and specifications you’ll probably be dreaming about in the next few nights:
