The AA battery operated COOLPIX L23 is perfect for the budding or casual photographer; everything about it is almost automated giving you only the burden of choosing when to take your shots. It also has the Easy Auto Mode and Smart Portrait System technology with the addition of an integrated electronic Reduction and Motion Detection that eliminates camera shake. This digital camera features 10.1 megapixel resolution CCD image sensor, 5x wide-angle zoom lens, and a 6.7 cm LCD screen. To keep taking picture even simpler, it’s outfitted with large buttons and dedicated Shooting and Playback modes. The COOLPIX L23 is available in five colors of blue, red, black, pink or silver, and tagged at £69.99 or €81.00.

The top dog of the three models is the COOLPIX L120. It features a wide angle 21x super-zoom NIKKOR lens with 25mm wide-angle to 525mm super-telephoto range controlled by a distinct side lever that provides a smooth and steady zoom. It has 14.1 megapixel CCD image sensor, four different automatic anti-blur functions and capability to record HD movies in 720p in stereo sound. The dedicated movie-record button allows users to switch easily from photo to video mode. For playback, it has a 7.5 cm 921k-dot high-resolution LCD screen and a built-in HDMI mini connector to connect the L120 to an HDTV. COOLPIX L120 that also runs on AA batteries is available in black or red and costs around £249.99 or €290.00.
