Rock and Ride with Zero S Electric Motorcycle

When Sheldon Cooper, from the comedy hit series Big Bang Theory, asked “Who would want a motorized dirt bike on their 12th birthday?” I thought for myself “Duh! Everyone!”. I thought I was right but seeing Zero S electric supermoto motorcycle changed all that. The Zero S stands to a class of its own because it is fully emission free, lightweight, highly maneuverable and best of all fast. Using the Z-Forceâ„¢ technology, the lithium ion battery packs and a separate 12 volt power system for the Zero-S’s accessories are carefully controlled when the motorcycle is running or recharging. This gives the electric motorcycle maximum acceleration and range.

The frame of the motorcycle uses tough and lightweight twin spar aircraft grade aluminum frame to handle every punishment the urban environment can throw at it. The body’s custom injected molded plastics combined with a low center of gravity gives the perfect aerodynamics and control. The performance brakes and suspension are also constructed from durable lightweight custom made materials and one of the lightest in the industry. The Zero S uses clutch-less one speed gearing with minimal frictional loss designed for rapid acceleration and greater range. The analog and digital dash shows the speed, power level and motor temperature while the fierce looking headlight uses projector beam for supreme luminance and visibility.

The Zero S basically has everything that rocket science could pull up and is used to ensure safety and performance. See more about motorcycles, collectibles, gears and other accessories here.

Star Wars is Here

Introduced recently in one of Britain’s biggest gadget show in London, this Star Wars inspired hover chair really did hog the limelight.

It is a 125 mph electric motorbike and equipped with hi-fi speakers and Inventor Keith Dixon, of Sussex-based Hoverit Ltd, said he was inspired as a child by the anti-gravity Landspeeder vehicles in the “Star Wars” films.

Once you had a taste of this fantastic invention the sensation you feel as you lie back and close your eyes is totally different — like floating on a cloud!

Pricey with a 6,000-pound ($9,831) price tag could effortlessly bring visitors back on earth with a bump! But who said the Star Wars is at all affordable, anyway.

“One” wheeled wonder

If you’re like me who cringes every time it’s time to pay for the gas bill then join me in welcoming one of the latest innovations to hit the transportation industry—the UnoCycle.

19 year old Ben Gulak of Toronto, who has been tinkering with machine gizmos since he was 5, thought of inventing this motorbike when he went to China and never got the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the city since smog covered its surroundings due to the motorcycles used by the people there. This “one”-wheeled motorbike is said to lessen the damage to the environment caused by fuel emissions since it’s battery-operated.

The design of the UnoCycle looks quite futuristic and the model is one of a kind. From the side, it looks as if it only has one wheel but if you check it out in the front you’ll see that it has two similar sized motorbike wheels to give the rider more balance.

Operating just like the Segway, the driver leans forward to make it accelerate and leans backward to hit the brakes. If the rider wants to turn to a certain course, he simply steers into the direction he wants and the wheels automatically regulate its stability to prevent the rider from falling by using a computer generated system. It can go up to 15 miles per hour but the inventor said that it can likely reach 40.

No news yet on when it will be released as it’s not out in the market yet, but an estimated price of $6000 is expected for this gadget. Not bad for something that has two wheels and one button to turn the bike on or off.

With gas prices spiking up like the hot Sahara desert, this one man motorbike (yes only one person can ride it) is exactly what we need to lessen the burden of our thinning wallets.
