Motorola MILESTONE 2 – Simply Better

Motorola just hit another Milestone – literally. Creatively dubbed after its award-winning predecessor, MILESTONE 2 enhanced with MOTOBLUR has just been recently released by Motorola. This new Android 2.2 based Motorola smartphone promises faster speed, more messaging, more storage, better web experience with Adobe Flash Player 10.1, more multimedia and more personalization and connectivity options than its older sibling.

The Motorola MILESTONE 2 features a 1Ghz processor, letting users to go through their phone content swiftly even when running multiple applications at the same time or browsing several open web pages. It also lets users respond to e-mails or texts promptly with an enhanced and more spacious QWERTY keyboard which features larger keys and better tactility for easier typing. MILESTONE 2 can also act as a mobile hotspot for 3G and to connect up to five WiFi enabled devices – users can virtually turn themselves into a center of productivity. For storage, it has 8GB internal memory with 8GB microSD card inbox that can be further upgraded to 32GB for a total of 40GB of memory. MILESTONE 2 also features the newest version of Motorola’s exclusive solution, MOTOBLUR, which makes managing of entire emails, messages and social updates easier and simpler. Other MOTOBLUR features include filtering options, resizable widgets, new corporate security and a flexible battery manager.

Additional significant features of the Motorola MILESTONE 2 include 720p HD video capture and playback, Multi-touch screen, 5MP camera with dual LED flash and DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi connectivity with 802.11n support.

CHARM – Motorola’s Baby With Android 2.1 and MOTOBLUR Enhancements

True to its commitment to providing its customers with an increased customizable user experience, Motorola has announced its newest masterpiece – Motorola CHARM. This is a touch screen smartphone loaded with a social networking punch with its MOTOBLUR enhancements, Android 2.1, compact design, and a BACKTRACK feature making screen navigation more intuitive. Its pocketable design makes messaging a breeze with the perfect blend of QWERTY keyboard and touch screen. The unit’s BACKTRACK navigation pad, which looks like a laptop touch panel allows clear view of text messages, the Web, news feeds, and e-mails.

Motorola CHARM is the first in the U.S. to offer an improved version of MOTOBLUR built on Android 2.1, which actually syncs photos, messages, posts, contact, and many others in manageable streams from various sources including Gmail, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, as well as in personal and work e-mails. With the CHARM, customization is always possible. In fact, users can resize and move pre-loaded home screen widgets so you can personalize up to seven home screen panels for a more custom experience. It’s good to know that Decepticon’s Frenzy wasn’t the outcome when Motorola decided to merge their latest MOTOBLUR -enabled mobile phone with Android 1.6. The new phone is the Motorola Devour and although it sounds predatory and has a name that Megatron would give one of his henchmen, Devour is actually loaded with social networking friendly features and applications. The Devour comes with Motorola’s MOTOBLUR, a special social networking version of Google’s Android. One of Motoblur’s handy features is the Happenings, Status and Messaging widget on the homes screen. The widget frequently monitors and keeps you updated on what’s the latest on your favorite social networks like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter without having to open a separate application. Motoblur also supports phonebook and social network synchronization, and photo sharing. Another great feature of Motoblur is the centralization of your different messages into one common inbox. With this “universal inbox” feature, you can read and reply to all your messages with relative ease whether it’s an email, SMS or a social networking site message or update. To protect your phone and privacy, this phone comes with an online back-up and GPS for tracking and remotely wiping the phone “clean”.

The new Motorola Devour is an extruded aluminum design slider phone which sports a 320 x 480 pixels 3.1-inch touch screen. Asides from the touch screen display, Devour features a QWERTY keyboard and a touch receptive navigation pad to navigate the phone. Additionally, the phone is 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled, and comes with an 8GB pre-installed memory card.
