Time is running out for DVDs, Standard Definition TV and Single Core Processors as new generations of technology keep coming out at a steady phase and affordable rates. Today, for computer manufacturers, it’s either they dive right into the future or get bogged down in a tar pit of ancient technology and fossils. As they launched their new ZBOX Blu-ray series mini-PCs, the choice was quite for ZOTAC – they will not be left behind.

The ZOTAC ZBOX Blu-ray series is the world’s first slim and well-designed mini-PC with a built-in slot-load Blu-ray drive. It combined energy-efficient system processor with an equally powerful graphics processor and features the finest integrated aspects and several expansion options to form a top of the line mini-PC capable of delivering first-class high-definition video playback online and offline. It runs on a new dual-core 1.8GHz Intel Atom D525 processor with HyperThreading technology and next-generation NVIDIA ION graphics technology with 16 unified shaders and 512MB of DDR3 memory. The GPU allows this mini-PC to deliver dramatic HD Blu-ray video playback at resolutions up to 1080p. There’s also the hardware-accelerated Adobe Flash video support that enables smooth playback and streaming high-definition content.
The integrated slot-load Blu-ray drive is capable of 4x Blu-ray, 8x DVD and 24x CD speeds and allows playback of Blu-ray and DVD movies. It can also write data into DVD±R/RW and CD±R/RW discs. As a bonus, a Blu-ray ready copy of Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 is included with every ZOTAC ZBOX Blu-ray series. The other noteworthy features are the USB 3.0 support, onboard Wi-Fi, HDMI output, a 6-in-1 card reader, 7.1 channel audio, and Gigabit Ethernet.
