JVC has just introduced the GZ-HM340 camera to expand the company’s new 2010 Everio line. This high definition model comes with a generous 16GB of internal memory along with an SD/SDHC card slot. It also incorporates every feature and improvement you’ll find in all the Everio models. Among these are the innovations in image stabilization and low light capabilities, fresh auto recording feature, as well as time lapse recording.
The GZ-HM340 also takes pride in featuring JVC’s Advanced Image Stabilizer that provides you with steady image even when you’re moving. It is also very much effective when capturing bright scenes from full wide to 5x zoom. Its Time-Lapse recording feature, on the other hand, is way easy to use especially for time-lapse shooting in one-to-80 second intervals. Through this, long-playing segments can be trimmed down to seconds.
Files made by this new camera can be shared easily in different formats, thanks to the Everio MediaBrowser software for Windows. This software is capable of automatically converting HD and SD videos so they can be uploaded immediately on YouTube. You can also directly export files to iTunes and sync with an iPone or iPod or burn to DVD. What’s great is you can do all these in a few mouseclicks, using the Everio MediaBrowser application.
And since it’s an Everio camera, it is also outfitted with a Konica Minolta HD Lens. Presently, these are the smallest and slimmest HD lenses in the world. In the GZ-HM340, it even delivers a 20x optical zoom.
Aside from this particular model, you can also consider the JVC Everio GZ-HM models offered at Amazon.

When looking for some new gadgets to fill your home, consider first specifications then aesthetics. Well, even though the looks just come second, it is important that your gadget would fit your style and preference. Take for example the newly announced JVC XS-SR3iPod dock. It has a tubular design that looks like a circlet surrounding the iPod around which JVC calls wraparound design with a glossy black or silver finish. It has two decently powerful 2.5 watt speakers on both ends of the tube delivering quality music enough to fill a room.
This iPod dock has neodymium magnets that ensure clean, crisp sound, while the Dolby Virtual Surround technology makes the impression of a wider sound field. This is in fact according to JVC, the first speaker system to have a Dolby Decoder in it. This technology is used when watching movies, which this dock also promotes with its rotating cradle. Usually, docks have an upright cradle which is the normal position for putting your iPod. But since the iPod Touch and iPhone has landscape viewing capabilities, the cradle on this sound machine can also go landscape mode which is perfect for movie watching. However, the idea might sound weird that you watch a movie closely on the tiny 3.5″ screen while the speaker is blasting right in front of your face. The XS-SR3 has an external input socket for use with DVD players, laptops, computers, etc.
