Toshiba STOR.E STEEL AND ALUMINUM – The Heavy Duty Storage Solution


Toshiba introduced two new external hard drives that look more to may have been made in their ore refinery and forges rather than their research and development department. The STOR.E STEEL S and STOR.E ALU 2S are two metal-encased high capacity external hard drives that feature the latest USB 3.0 interface boasting data transfer rates of up to 5 Gigabits per second. Their metallic enclosures add robustness and durability to their design. The STOR.E ALU 2S will come in either black or silver brushed aluminum while the STEEL S will come in silver, black, or titanium colored steel.

Although the STEEL S and ALU 2S are based on a USB 3.0 interface, both are still backwards compatible with the more widely used USB 2.0 interfaces. The two external drives are Toshiba’s answer to demands of a reliable, large capacity, and fast storage solution fit for the new digital age.
