Lower Your Power Bill with HiSaver Energy Saving Powerbar for PC

Benjamin once said that a penny saved is a penny earned. What he didn’t know is that electricity, which he coincidentally discovered, would come in such high cost today. If he did, he probably would have stated that electricity saved is a penny earned instead.

If you’re trying to set aside every monetary resource that you have, the last thing you would want is a staggering electrical bill – this is where the new HiSaver Energy Saving Powerbar for PC (model SWE-100U) comes in. This energy saving gadget features a unique motion sensor technology that effectively trims down electricity consumption automatically. Its mechanism is rather simple: after 10 minutes without detecting motion, HiSaver automatically sends a message to the intelligent power strip to turn off the power to the 5 Energy Saving outlets therefore eliminating all standby power. When HiSaver’s motion sensor detects a presence, it will automatically return power to those Energy Saving outlets. It does this 24/7 to help you routinely save money on your electricity bill. It can provide 16 hours worth of power saving to all PC peripherals amounting up to $0.50 savings per day or more and there’s the Zero Standby power that can save an extra $30 to $50 per year.

Furthermore, HiSaver features a high voltage surge protection at 3044 joules and helps extend the life of PC peripherals and home entertainment systems. The device itself merely measures 15″ H x 7.5″ W x 2″ D and weighs 2.60 lbs. For added piece of mind, it comes with a $1,000,000 Limited Connected Equipment Warranty.

New Belkin Conserve Line-Up: Energy Management Within Your Reach

With the crisis the world is facing today, more and more people are becoming more aware and concern about their consumption – not only of the things that they buy everyday but also of the energy that they consume on a daily basis. To help people control their energy usage, Belkin introduced four new innovations in its Conserve product line-up: the Insight, Smart AC, Valet, and Socket.

The Belkin Conserve Insight F7C005q Energy Cost Monitor is a monitor that shows pertinent figures about a particular device in your home – the number of watts consumed, the cost, and the amount of carbon dioxide emitted. All you have to do is plug the device into the Insight to get the right figures.

The Belkin Conserve Smart AV is a socket collection into which you can plug one main device (like a TV) and the several devices connected to it (like the DVD player and game console). The main device is plugged into the green socket. When the Smart AV detects that the main device is off, it turns off the devices connected to the main device to save on power.

The Belkin Conserve Valet is a charging station that can accommodate up to four devices. It automatically shuts off when the devices are already fully charged, and it doesn’t draw on power when not in use, so it saves energy.

The Belkin Conserve Socket allows you to time power to certain devices. The timer shuts off power to a given device after the time interval that you choose, saving energy and keeping your home safe.

With all these innovations, it’s easy to control your energy consumption.

Nokero Solar Light Bulb: Affordable and Safe Lighting Within Everybody’s Reach

Light plays a very important role in the life of many individuals and families. It is with this knowledge that we grieve for people in some developing countries who are deprived of light, and for those who still need to spend a lot just to have light in their homes. And, it is also with this same knowledge that we welcome with gratitude innovations aimed at helping these people get out of darkness. New discoveries such as Nokero’s solar light bulb are welcome innovations.

The solar light bulb is specifically designed to address the needs of people who still use fossil-fuel lanterns for their lighting needs. Fossil fuels are not only expensive; they’re also dangerous to the environment and human health because of the carbon dioxide that they emit and the greater possibility of fire risks associated with their use. The Nokero solar bulb is less expensive because you can simply charge it out in the sun to give it power. A whole day of charging can yield two hours of lighting use, while a full charge can give you double the amount of light (up to four hours). Charging is done with the help of the four solar panels in the bulb. It also comes with a rechargeable battery that lasts for more than a couple of years. The bulb is about the size of an incandescent bulb and is rain-proof. It’s made from impact-resistant plastic materials and comes with five LEDs.

The Nokero solar light bulb is an effective solution to the lighting needs of many individuals. If you check online, you’ll also find a line-up of solar light bulb at Amazon, each designed to preserve the environment and help families.

2GHz SheevaPlug: Easy Energy Management for Everybody

With the increasing cost of electricity and the growing need to conserve energy, energy management is now a must in every home. Marvell has partnered with 4Home to create the 2GHz SheevaPlug, a small Linux computer (so small you can fit it into the palm of your hands) designed to monitor power consumption in your home right from the outlet. This new innovation makes energy monitoring easy without you having to go for an expensive home automation kit.

This energy management device works by simply plugging it into a wall outlet. Once plugged in, it will stay on at all times. It will help you keep track of the historical and real-time energy consumption either of your entire home or of every electronic appliance. And, based on the current data available, it can project your future energy consumptions. Because of this, you are assured that you’ll have total control over your consumption and that you can always manage your energy consumption with the help of the available data provided by the device. It can even give you alerts whenever you’re having more consumption than what the device has allocated for a specific time frame.

The 2GHz SheevaPlug is an answer to the growing needs of people for efficient energy management. There’s no mention about the specific price of the device yet, but it will surely be less costly than a home automation kit. If you want peace of mind and control over your expenses, then this is one worthy investment that will give you back your money in the long run.

FastMac U Socket: The First Wall Socket with USB Ports

More gadgets in your home often mean more wires, more adapters, and more clutter, especially when you’re using your gadgets simultaneously or when you’re charging them. And when you’re charging your devices via USB ports, the hassle even increases because you’ll have to power up your desktop or laptop just to charge the gadgets. Yikes! More wires getting tangled. Until the U Socket is introduced!

The U Socket is a simple 3-prong, wall-mounted AC receptacle, only it has two additional USB ports. The said ports can power devices compatible with a 5V power adapter. But, the good thing is, you won’t need the adapter when charging—you can charge directly from the port. So, you’ll have less clutter and mess whenever you’re charging. The said innovation also saves on energy because the USB port is only powered whenever you connect something to it. The energy that you can save by using this socket will reach up to $25 per year. Now, isn’t that a good start to living green?

The U Socket is still undergoing some redesign, and this redesign is expected to result in a safer device with more features and improved capabilities. Among those that you can look forward to are USB 3.0, 10w charging support, smaller transformers approved by safety agencies, TruePower Technology, and compliance with EPA’s Energy Star requirements. The manufacturer is now accepting pre-orders, with the shipping date expected to be on October this year at the latest. You can now order the U Socket at $19.95 per unit.
