Acer Liquid E

If you’ve followed the smartphones that Acer has released (if you’re that much of a fanboy), then you might feel that this Android wearing smartphone is familiar. The Acer Liquid E is an upgrade to the Liquid A1 that was offered to the high-end market.

The “significant” upgrade was the Android 2.1  operating system from the previous 1.6 version. The new system has an improved web browser and dynamic wallpapers such as that in the Nexus One. Aside from that, the phone also features multi-tasking that allows easy switching from application to application without quitting what you’re currently doing. Social networking applications were also embedded in the system so connecting with friends or uploading photos and videos is an easy task.

The system is powered by a Qualcomm 8250 728MHz processor with 500mb ROM and 256mb RAM. This combination of memory and processing power delivers the fluidity that users will experience in navigating throughout the phone. A 5-megapixel camera with autofocus allows high quality images and videos, but the lack of flash would make the camera totally crippled when there is no sufficient lighting. WiFi, bluetooth 2.0, and 7.2Mbps data transfer speed via 3G network allows ultimate connectivity while on the go. The 3.5″ capacitive touch screen provides clear and vivid images and enough viewing area to enjoy pictures, videos or accommodate your big fingers when texting.

Critics say that the Liquid E is not really an upgrade but more of an improvement or enhancement of the A1. Still, the Liquid E is an excellent smartphone for you.

No pricing or availability info were released but it will come in Red, Black, and White.
