Adam may have the honor to be the first man on Earth and he was also the one that passed on the burden of the original sin. Now, at the last 2010 Mobile World Congress (MWC 2010), a new Adam was introduced – the Notion Ink ADAM Tablet and E-reader. This new ADAM starts after eons the first man fell and picks up where previous Tablet PCs and e-reader fell short before – in features.
For starters, if you want something portable and compact, the Notion Ink ADAM merely measures 6.3â€x 9.8â€x 0.6†thick and weighs in at 1.7lbs. It has a multi-touch ready 10.1-inch HD screen with automatic brightness control and up to 1024 x 600 resolution. The screen also features a full color dual display, LCD transmissive mode for low-power, sunlight-readable and reflective e-paper settings, and Pixel Qi transflective display mode which makes the LCD display readable even under direct sunlight. Adam will also be featuring 3G and WiFi connectivity plus a 180 degree swivel camera for those wacky snapshots and sci-fi video logs.
Inside the Notion Ink ADAM, you’ll find that it is run by a powerful Dual-Core ARM CORTEX -A9 MPCORE Processor capable of delivering rich high definition multimedia and web experience including low power Flash 10.1 acceleration, HD Web streaming and HD video playback. The graphics is handled by none other than an Ultra Low Power NVIDIA GPU with next generation 3D rendering. The battery is capable of 140 hours audio and more than 16 hours for HD video playback. Watch your UI evolve with Adam’s support for Android, Tegra and upcoming Tegra 2 technology.

Imagine the rare Gerardus Mercator’s “Atlasâ€, The 13th Amendment, William Shakespeare’s “First Folioâ€, or the more intricate and expensive Gospels of Henry the Lion and Leonardo da Vinci’s “Codex Leicester†and other antique collection of precious books right into you fingertips. No self respecting bibliophile can resist all that as well as the new Skiff e-book reader. In a market with already more than enough e-readers to choose from, Skiff will truly stand out with its innovative design and world’s first engineering. This new reader features one of the largest e-paper displays in the market measuring at 11.5 inches diagonally. It also has one of the thinnest and lightest designs at 6.8mm thick and mere 498 grams in weight.
Don’t be fooled by the sleek and slim design though, Skiff can probably outlast the Library of Alexandria and Library of King Ashurbanipal combined. It features unique durable magnesium housing with a shatter-proof and crack-proof rugged metal foil e-paper display. The 1200 x 1600 pixels metallic touch screen is actually made of silicon thin-film-transistors (TFT) on flexible stainless-steel substrate. This makes the Skiff reader the toughest e-book reader yet.
Measuring just 0.6″ thin and weighing only 12.75 ounces, the Reader Daily Edition joins the already announced
Bookworm and bibliophilism doesn’t necessarily mean large rimmed eyeglasses, back-breaking hard bounds, multiple library memberships and mastery of the library card catalog. Those are so yesterday. Today, electronic book readers are the new bibliophile’s next best friend. They are compact, lightweight, portable and can hold as much books as your local library. And although there are other more pronounced brand and models of electronic readers out there, book lovers ought to take a serious look on the newest addition to Dulin’s Pocketbook reader family – the PocketBook 360. This latest model from Dulin uses Linux platform running on a Samsung® S3C2440 AL-40 400MHz processor and 64MB RAM. This combination significantly improves the reader’s performance as well as the boot time.
This gorgeous 5-inch electronic book has a very ergonomic feel and an easy layout. The buttons are conveniently placed on the side of the PocketBook 360; it allows simple ambidextrous handling both in horizontal and vertical position. The integrated G-sensor or accelerometer shifts the reader in landscape or portrait mode with just a change in orientation. Another great feature of this latest gadget is the design cover for screen protection which comes in geometric pattern with the black model and swirling wind pattern for the white.
