Wow! Samsung Chips to Bring HD Image Sensors to Slimmer, Smarter Mobiles

Tired of your camera phone’s unreliable video recording feature? Then, better find something that will allow you to capture videos at up to 15 frames per second. Perhaps, you’re already thinking about getting a video camera at that, but then again you’re having second thoughts because you still want the other features of your camera phone intact. Worry no more because Samsung, one of the leading manufacturers of electronic gadgets worldwide, has come up with a solution for video enthusiasts like you. And that is to bring HD image sensors to slimmer, smarter mobiles.

Samsung’s low-key releases include the S5K4E2 and S5K5CA CMOS image sensors. Although both have reliable video capabilities, they differ in the quality of video that they produce. The former is a 5 megapixel chip that uses Enhanced Energy Steering technology from Samsung itself while the latter only boasts a 3 megapixel chip that has a video capture capability which is not too shabby. But in spite of this difference, either of the two will be a lot better from your existing camera phone. For sure, once these chips are out later this year, you’ll be saying goodbye to your old phone.

Well, actually, even as early as now, you can already say goodbye to your old camera phone and say hello to these Samsung camera phones at Amazon.com. They are also very reliable in terms of video capture. Whether you want a 1.2 megapixels camera, 2 megapixels, or 5 megapixels at that, you sure have lots of options. So, get one now!

Sony Ericsson C903

If the megapixels war in the compact digital camera field is now at the 10+ megapixel level, it seems that for camera phones, the 5 megapixel level is the new starting number to impress people.

The newly released Sony Ericsson C903 is a 5 megapixel snapper. It has the latest features available for camera phones that is similar to what you get on a normal compact camera. Having a Cybershot badge, you can expect great quality of output since Sony is one of the leading names when it comes to digital cameras.

Let’s head first with the design. The body of the C903 is working on a slide mechanism. The keypads slide down and sliding the protective cover on the back will make the phone into camera mode instantly thanks to dedicated camera keys. It also has a nice 2.4″ screen which is very clear and vibrant – perfect for viewing photos.

Looking at the camera features, it sure is a winner. It has autofocus(a must for quality shooting), face detection, image stabilizer for blur free pictures, smile shutter, and Best Pic. The Best Pic feature is like an automatic photo enhancement feature that would make every shot well, a Best Pic.

People may say that the C903 is just a 5 megapixel camera phone while others are having 8megapixels. Again, it is not just the megapixel number that counts in taking good pictures but it is the processor in the camera that makes the difference. The C903 having the Cybershot branding in it, can assure you of quality photos in a slide.

Sony Ericsson C905 – The Gr8!

Do you think you’ve got the latest gadget with your 5.0 megapixel camera-phone?  Then, think again, because Sony Ericsson has just announced a new addition to their handheld phones – the new Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot.  It is packed with an 8.1 megapixel camera with XENON flash, which makes it produce clearer and crisper pictures.

This camera-phone measures 4.1×1.9×0.7 inches and weighs 4.8 ounces, making it look a bit thicker than the usual handset. Available colors are Night Black, Ice Silver and Copper Gold.

One feature of the C905 which amazes me is the Best Pic, which can take 8 pictures in quick succession with just one click.  Allowing you to choose the best picture taken and then delete the rest afterwards.  And for those who can’t keep their hands steady everytime they take pictures, resulting to blurred images, the Anti-blur Technology corrects that with its image stabiliser.  The C905 is also equipped with Wi-Fi allowing you to easily send and post pictures directly from the phone.

The C905 handset boasts being their first phone to support Sony Ericsson’s Project Capuchin API and also their first Cyber-shot slider-style phone.

Additional features are the quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity, bluetooth, USB, FM radio with media player, HSDPA, which speeds up downloading larger files and email attachments, smart contrast, face detection, autofocus, aGPS which supports Google Maps and Wayfinder, red-eye reduction and the scratch-resistant 2.4 inch screen.

I’ve read a lot of nice reviews about previous Sony Ericsson models, but this is the best so far.  This is definitely the phone to look out for.  You still have a few more months to save up for this phone, since it will be available in the market on the 4th quater of 2008.  So, wouldn’t you like to have the Sony Ericsson C905 for Christmas?
