Underwater Light Show – Time for Bath, Time to Dance

Perhaps the next perfect spot after facing in front of the mirror in your bedroom when doing your little concerto is the bathroom. Your voice is just that good when you are singing there, isn’t it? Here’s something more. You can also turn your bathroom into a wonderful dance floor while doing your bath (and singing, if you insist to).

The Underwater Light Show is a funky and fascinating bath tub accessory that can alter you or adapt into different moods. Of course, you’re not an extraordinary android, most probably you are in a boogie feeling earlier then next time you become over-romantic. That’s why the Underwater Light Show features five different lighting effects. You can transform your bath into an upbeat dance floor and choose the fast random color changing light. There is also a flashing single color and a constant pattern with all four colors. The other effects are slow seductive mode through all four colors to tranquilize you and the uninterrupted sequence of all the lighting effects. The Underwater Light Show uses LED, each in different color of red, blue, green or orange. The LED has a waterproof Perspex shell housing so you can safely place it anywhere in the bathroom. You can even have it with you in the tub since it floats on water.

To operate the Underwater Light Show, there is a small button at the side to let you select and scroll through the light shows. If you need to turn it off, simply hold down the button. The Underwater Light Show requires 3 x AAA batteries and is not designed for use on customers with epileptic issues.

Rotary Style Faucet

Earth Hour was started in Sydney, Australia to save energy in an effort to delay the degradation of the environment. While many theorists say that the Earth has been damaged too great to be immediately healed, there is still a little bit hope for improvement. Solving the global warming problem is the key issue, but water conservation is also another thing to tackle. There is only so much of clean water that using it indiscriminately is very wasteful. You’ll be lucky to have clean water running from your faucet as there are a lot around the world who have to walk miles just to get something to drink.

While we cannot ignore the fact that we have been spoiled by the modern society, steps have been taken to conserve water. You see water free urinals (for men at least) and those push button taps that only spurts enough water and nothing else! The solution? This creatively designed rotary dial style faucet.

Much like your grandmother’s old rotary telephone, this has 3 dials that indicate the duration of the water flow. You have 5 seconds for a quick rinse, 10 seconds if your hands has lots of soap suds, or 15 seconds when you have a dirty set of hands. Another plus is the waterfall type of outflow which looks good by the way.

The per second based water flow isn’t sure to really reduce water consumption. However, it is still good to think that there are designers out there who brainstorm on how current technologies can be implemented in a variety of ways.
