10″ Acer Aspire One

10inch-aspire

The netbook market is expected to grow this year as the demand for cheaper products get higher and higher due to the financial crunch. Acer, a leader manufacturer in the PC market who introduced the original Acer One last year, released another model that is bigger and better.

The new 10 inch Acer Aspire One is a lot better due to the larger screen(of course). Up from the previous 8.9 inches, this bigger screen has a resolution of 1024×600 which is great for surfing websites without scrolling sideways, and it is LED back lit too! The trackpad is also a lot better since it is the same as the one available in regular laptops instead of the original’s awkward design.

Speaking of design, the 10″ aspire maintained the clean streamlined look that says modern and fast! The palm rest is also done with brushed metal that is good in preventing finger prints on it.

Acer promises 7 hours on its 6 cell battery which is good for ultra portable computing. 160GB hard drive capacity is one of its best asset for people who want to bring everything around with them.

Aside from that, an all-in-one card reader, Bluetooth, WiFi, and optional 3G wireless techonology is present for unlimited internet connectivity. The 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor with up to 2GB DDR2 RAM combo is very capable to run its Windows XP Home built-in operating system, productivity suite and multimedia applications as well.

The 10″ Aspire One weighs 1.18kg. Not really the lightest of them all but trying one in real life, it is very handy! This netbook is expected to be priced at $399 with color variants available to black, red and white.
