Updates to Look Forward to in Gateway’s ID and NV Laptops

With the increasing number of new models of laptops being introduced today in the market, all the more that laptop manufacturers should continue to innovate their product lines in order to cope up to these changes. Acer, for one, has already had its day or two unveiling back-to-school laptops. Of course, they have seen the need of students to have new gadgets, so they launched them just in time. But their sister brand Gateway does not want to take the back seat either. They may not have new product line but they certainly have something more exciting in store and that is by updating their ID and NV laptops.

So what’s new for these Gateway laptops? Well both the 15.6-inch NV series and the 14-inch ID47 will now include USB 3.0 and a choice of Sandy Bridge processors. But for the entry-level NV, it has now an option for one of AMD’s fresh-off-the-line Llano chips. So if you are looking forward to having this entry-level, you can opt for this newest feature.

But the updates don’t end there. Gateway did more than just give its notebooks more exciting specs – it also made some tweaks to their product line-ups’ designs. For the NV series, there’s now an added chiclet keyboard while for the ID series, the metal-clad trackpad was made 20% larger and no longer glows like a mood ring. Sony VAIO Z Series – Notebook Plus Booster Pack

Inside the Sony VAIO Z Series lie a powerful standard voltage Intel Core i7 processor and an ultra-fast DDR3 memory. The Z Series can operate non-stop up to 14 hours thanks to its dual sheet technology. The new Sony Power Media Dock is the Series Z’s jet pack – it’s an expansion module that connects to the notebook using an optical cable.
