Jumpin Banana’s Lightning Reaction Extreme

Have you ever invited your friends over at your place and find yourselves bored to tears? Wouldn’t it be nice if you have a gadget that would liven up the party and provide hours upon hours of amusement? Don’t worry, I’m not talking about a digital version of Scrabble or Monopoly, although some people do enjoy those games this product I’m going to introduce is a whole lot more enjoyable. I’m talking about Lightning Reaction Extreme! You could guess by the name that this is a toy for the big boys and some brave gals as well.

Lightning Reaction Extreme

Let me warn you this is not for the faint of heart. It’s not so dangerous that you’ll get electrical burns or anything painful like that, but the jolt you’ll receive is strong enough to make even the toughest guy in the room wail. The Lightning Reaction Extreme combines two games in one. One is the regular Lightning Reaction game where the slowest member to buzz in gets a jolt, the other one is the “Extreme” game where only the fastest will be safe. Whichever mode you choose, I can guarantee you that you’ll have a great time competing with your friends and family. Anyone with nerves of steel can play. I even read somewhere that one time, somebody thought it would be funny to invite his grandma to join in on the fun. Imagine the shock on their faces when she didn’t hesitate to join. Even more shocking is, she actually won 5 games in a row! Grandma PWNAGE, dude. (WARNING: Do not try this with your own Grandma. lol)

The game will only cost roughly $23, and for the priceless reactions you’ll get from the people you know, I can definitely say that the price is well worth it. With the Lightning Reaction Extreme, your once boring house parties will never be the same again.

Brother MFC-6490cw Professional Series Color Inkjet All-Around Printer

It feels great to finally be able to review a piece of equipment that I can personally vouch for. The Brother MFC-6490cw Professional Series Color Inkjet All-Around Printer, with all its multiple functions and the ease-of-use that can only be expected from Brother, is one of the greatest investments I ever made. Want to know why? Read on.

Brother MFC-6490cw Professional Series Color Inkjet All-Around Printer

I am in love with this piece of equipment. The MFC-6490cw All-Around Printer does so many things, and it does these things better than its single-function specialized equipment counterparts. This versatile Brother product can print, photocopy, scan, and fax. I wouldn’t have believed it if I haven’t personally saw it in action, and boy did I see it in action.

Let’s start with the printing. The cool thing about this printer is that it accommodates different paper sizes, from the regular ones to the larger ones like the ledger-size paper (11 x 17-inch). This is pretty convenient for people like me who have regular printing assignments that can range from book reports and essays to signs and posters. I like the fact that there’s no tough printing job when it comes to this baby. Also, you won’t need a computer for copying those important documents. At speeds of up to 23 copies per minute black and 20 cpm color, this would make the tiring task of photocopying a breeze (literally!). Scanning photos is easier than having a separate scanner to do the job. The same can be said of the fax function. Truly, this effectively replaces all those bulky machines for a fraction of the cost.

I am also thankful for the wireless and wired network capability of this printer. It’s one thing to say that it is easier to just send data via wireless devices, but to be able to print, scan and fax wirelessly? That makes a lot of difference, especially when you don’t want messing around with complex network setups. With the Brother MFC-6490cw Professional Series Color Inkjet All-Around Printer, you would save a lot of time and effort.

I’m gonna go and say it again: Buy this product. It will be one of your best investments and take my word for it, you’ll find your life much more easier and convenient with this amazing multi-function printer, whether you’re an overburdened college student or a tough-as-nails CEO.

BlackBerry Curve 8320 Smartphone

Almost everyone right now is using a SideKick or some version of it and there are people out there who just want to be a part of that bandwagon. On the other hand, the line of BlackBerry smartphones are steadily continuing to be upgraded and redefined every year. The latest model is the BlackBerry Bold and it is a breath of fresh air, but for now we’re going to take a look at one of the more popular BlackBerry phones to hit the market, the Curve:

BlackBerry Curve 8320 Smartphone

Move over BlackBerry Pearl because the BlackBerry 8320 Curve is smaller and lighter than that previous BlackBerry model. It comes in two classic colors, namely, Titanium and Pale Gold (I prefer the Titanium one). Like the other BlackBerry phones before it (the Pearl for example), the BlackBerry Curve also has a slew of hot features that are unique to this line of smartphones. Let’s discuss the phone’s visual impact first: The Curve features a bright 2.5-inch color TFT screen that provides 65,000 colors and a 320 x 240-pixel resolution, including a light-sensing feature that automatically adjusts backlighting for indoor, outdoor and dark environments. This smartphone also features a 2-megapixel camera capable of 5x digital zoom, built-in flash, self-portrait mirror, and a full-screen viewfinder. Although it’s not capable of video recording those specs are pretty tight. So eyecandy, check.

The BlackBerry’s push email technology guarantees that your email will find you without initiating a connection. These BlackBerry devices are designed to remain on and continuously connected to the wireless network, notifying you as new email arrives. This is excellent web synergy in action. BlackBerry is also known for its high rate of file compatibility because in addition to the text, BlackBerry users can also receive and view attachments in a wide range of popular file formats, including Microsoft Office, Corel WordPerfect, and Adobe PDF. The integrated web browser enables you to view webpages in HTML format and on top of that, it also enables you to subscribe to RSS feeds. There’s no need to worry about missing out on the latest web happenings with this berry. Let’s now talk about two of the crucial aspects of phones today, the memory and the battery: The Curve has 64 MB of internal ROM memory which can be expaned by using MicroSD memory cards. The battery provides up to 4 hours (240 minutes) of talk time and up to 17 days (408 hours) of standby time.

Certainly, the SideKick has edgy features, but you cannot deny that the BlackBerry is as slick as that equipment, maybe even more sophisticated. One thing’s for sure, no matter how many climb onto the SK’s bandwagon, the BlackBerry is here to stay. Next week, we’ll bring you the BlackBerry Bold.

Canon PowerShot A590IS 8MP Digital Camera

Not quite a pro photographer, but also a little higher than the average point-and-shoot joe? Most digicam manufacturers recognize these individuals who are caught “in-between” worlds. If you’re too taunted by the bulky and complex DSLRs, but also find simple digicams lacking in good features, a new prosumer camera has just been unleashed.

Well folks, here is the Canon PowerShot A590IS, an 8-megapixel digital camera that will restore your faith on the ever-reliable Powershot series:

The Canon PowerShot A590IS is a handy camera made both for amateur enthusiasts and professional photographers. This camera comes equipped with a variety of features, mostly focusing on enhanced image quality and user-friendliness. It comes with a wide-array of 19 shooting modes including Canon’s new Easy Mode, which is really useful if you like playing around with photographic effects. It also utilizes a 4x optical zoom coupled with an optical image stabilizer, so you get the power of a DSLR and the convenience of the good ol’ point-and-shoot camera. The DIGIC III Image Processor aids in refining the quality of each shot, ensuring that your perfectly captured moment is not wasted.

As with most digital cameras today, the Canon PowerShot A590IS also features Red-Eye Correction technology, Face Detection technology, the Canon-exclusive iSAPS Technology (intelligent Scene Analysis based on Photographic Space) and the very helpful Motion Detection Technology, which is perfect during sports events, reducing the blurry “action” images. For the professionals who want specific shots, the camera also accepts Wide-Angle and Telephoto Converter Lenses, proving that it is quite adaptive with whoever is using it, so to speak.

LG Dare Silver Phone

I have watched a lot of the “I am a PC. I am a Mac.” advertisements these past few months, and personally I find it really hilarious how the content of these ads have affected both the PC users and Mac users, almost to the point of ensuing a “silent war” between the two parties. Can someone say fanaticism? So before some of you can shout “It’s just an iPhone clone!” when you see the LG Dare, let me assure you that I have no intentions of bashing any other product in this article and what I will be giving today is an unbiased look on this revolutionary phone from LG:

LG Dare

Thinner than a pack of cards and jam-packed with a lot of cool features, the LG Dare stays true to its name. The first thing you’ll probably notice is the absence of a keypad. The LG Dare has an ultra-responsive 3-inch touchscreen which provides tactile feedback while typing on the onscreen QWERTY keyboard, or using its built-in handwriting recognition software. It looks really slick and futuristic with its minimalistic approach on the buttons, which are used for for making, ending, and clearing calls.

Actually, being a music lover, I’m more interested with the LG Dare‘s value-added services courtesy of Verizon, their partner service provider. The LG Dare is compatible with the V Cast Music service, enabling you to download songs instantly to your phone, or purchase music through your PC and transfer the files to your phone. It is quite similar to iTunes really, but in my opinion, I think V Cast is a viable alternative.

So enough with the iPhone comparisons, clearly, the LG Dare can stand on its own. It’s about time you get yourself one and “dare” to be different.
