With the increasing number of new models of laptops being introduced today in the market, all the more that laptop manufacturers should continue to innovate their product lines in order to cope up to these changes. Acer, for one, has already had its day or two unveiling back-to-school laptops. Of course, they have seen the need of students to have new gadgets, so they launched them just in time. But their sister brand Gateway does not want to take the back seat either. They may not have new product line but they certainly have something more exciting in store and that is by updating their ID and NV laptops.
So what’s new for these Gateway laptops? Well both the 15.6-inch NV series and the 14-inch ID47 will now include USB 3.0 and a choice of Sandy Bridge processors. But for the entry-level NV, it has now an option for one of AMD’s fresh-off-the-line Llano chips. So if you are looking forward to having this entry-level, you can opt for this newest feature.
But the updates don’t end there. Gateway did more than just give its notebooks more exciting specs – it also made some tweaks to their product line-ups’ designs. For the NV series, there’s now an added chiclet keyboard while for the ID series, the metal-clad trackpad was made 20% larger and no longer glows like a mood ring. Also, the ID47 now features a 14-inch display that is crammed into a chassis which is often paired with 13.3 panels and this for sure will excite you even more – a non-removable battery that lasts up to 8 hours. So, how cool is that?
Gateway indeed had done a great work on their ID and NV laptops. Want to see more from this brand? Here check out these Gateway NV laptops and other products!
