To live up with the PEN family’s legacy of upholding a small, light, and simple design, Olympus has introduced a new digital camera that delivers intuitive interface and DSLR image quality at CES 2011. Dubbed as PEN E-PL2, this device widens your creative potential with its new lens technology, Live Guide, modern in-camera creative features, as well as new auxiliary lenses. It takes macro photography to a whole new level by making use of the new Close-Up Spotlight accessory (MAL-1). The PEN E-PL2 also takes pride in being equipped with the new Olympus PENPAL Bluetooth accessory.
The E-PL2 is equipped with the new Movie & Still Compatible (MSC) ED m14-42mm f3.5/5.6 zoom lens that offers a smooth, silent, and quick inner focus that allows you to record high-definition movie fast and silently. The camera’s face detection features an Eye Detect AF that adjusts focus automatically on the subject’s eyes in case of portrait shooting. Its larges, easy-to-view 3.0- inch LCD monitor promises a great user experience. Since the company knows to some users don’t have enough time to retouch images on the computer, it has outfitted the E-PL2 with improved Art Filters that employs selectable new Art Filter variations. With this, users can customize every filter with different moods and effects.
Despite its large-size, high-performance 12.3-megapixel Live MOS image sensor, PEN E-PL2’s body is not that big. It also has easy-to-reach record button that makes recording HD movies very simple. Interested? Click here and get yourself a PEN E-PL2 now!
