Skynet may have not gone hi-wire yet but worldwide robot domination is upon us. One morning they maybe cleaning your floors, the next day they’ll be plotting the human race’s extinction. In the end, who cares, let the Connor’s take care of them, all that matters is hygiene and spot clean floors.
The first welcomed mechanized invader is the new iRobot Scooba 230 floor washing robot. The world’s smallest floor cleaning will automatically wash, scrub and wipe your tile, linoleum and sealed hardwood floors. Even tight spaces are not spared from its three stage cleaning system – wash, scrub and wipe. Washing uses the Scooba 230’s water management system that includes a flexible bladder. This bladder keeps the cleaning solution and the dirty water separated inside the robot. Scrubbing brushes and loosens dirt and grime.
Finally, the robot uses a squeegee and vacuum to remove all the excess water on the floor leaving it sparkly dry. The robot maximizes cleaning by getting accustomed to your household environment; the built-in iAdapt Responsive Cleaning Technology checks the cleaning environment 64 times per second using multiple sensors and over 40 behaviors to double-check that the whole floor is meticulously cleaned.
The Scooba 230 is a very compact gadget, it measures merely 3.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches in diameter. Its relatively small size allows it to clean in hard-to-reach places, including under and around furniture and even areas next to the toilet. It can also be set to run either on the standard cleaning cycle or a shorter 20-minute cycle for programmed smaller rooms.
