Fujitsu STYLISTIC Q550 – The Tablet that Means Business

Because the world can’t just get enough of tablet PCs – Fujitsu launched a new tablet especial made for the business people and professionals alike, the new STYLISTIC Q550 slate. It primarily boasts a fortress of digital security features much needed in a business environment like the Advanced Theft Protection system, a platform designed to defend against even the most advanced hacking methods. There is also the optional built-in Trusted Platform Module that protects sensitive date even in situations where the tablet is compromised, lost or stolen. It’s not only the security features that set the Fujitsu STYLISTIC Q550 apart from other tablets. Since it is designed for business and professional use, Fujitsu chose to outfit the Q550 with a battery that can last a full day’s work to match its users need.

To accommodate different work environments, it has an anti-glare 10.1-inch WXGA screen readily readable both indoors and outdoors. This device also hosts various connectivity options including WLAN, Bluetooth and an optional broadband 3G/UMTS to ensure that the user can always and will always have a way to stay connected. It’s not also just about the stylish design and comfy ergonomics, Fujitsu also made data input easier and more efficient by going for a multi-touch interface with an intelligent pressure-sensitive pen-input and handwriting recognition software. When using a pen on the Q550, the software automatically recognizes the mode of input and allows the user to rest their hand on the screen without screen going crazy.

Fujitsu revealed that the STYLISTIC Q550 will be running in on a choice of either Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional. It will be powered with Oak-Trail processor and will feature 2GB of RAM and 30 or 64GB of SSDs.
