Anything, Anywhere, Anytime – ViewSonic ViewPad 7

Who would have thought that everything you digitally need online and offline can one day be found within the palm of your hands? Well, the guys behind the ViewSonic research and development did. The new ViewPad 7 is Viewsonic’s latest take on an ultra-portable 7-inch tablet. The ViewPad 7 is an Android OS 2.2 based tablet that does not only feature a 7-inch multi-touch screen with a lightweight, smooth, and slim profile (a mere 0.8 lbs and 0.45 inch thick) but also boasts links to more than 200,000 useful apps on Google Marketplace thru Google Mobile Services. Some of its apps include the exclusive Documents to Go suite that allows a full mobile office experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a PDF software. It’s a great and simple way to view, edit or create documents, spreadsheets and presentations anywhere and anytime.

Another handy apps is an ebook reader with access to Aldiko, one of the best e-book platforms available online. The multi-touch screen and auto-rotation feature of the ViewPad only further enhances the reading experience. Socialization is also made easy with ViewPad 7 thanks to its built-in access to internet and social websites. For the unwary travelers, this device offers an integrated GPS/AGPS with Google maps to help them map their route and find their destination. A hands-free voice search app that will pull out software, contacts, documents and webpages using simple voice commands is also included. Entertainment is delivered thru a high-resolution 800×480 screen with built-in stereo speakers that let’s you view YouTube videos, clips and full length movies in great and stunning details.

Other features include a front and rear camera, built-in Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth connectivity, integrated G-sensor, accelerometer, light sensor, and a micro SD expansion slot.
