Intel’s latest Core i7 2630QM has quite the head start this year as Acer decided to launch three new lines of Aspire notebooks based on this new generation quad-core processor. Acer Aspire 5750, 5750G and 7750G will take advantage of Intel Core i7’s Sandy Bridge microarchitechture that features Turbo Boost 2.0 technology, smart graphics power on demand, cutting-edge communication and surround sound capabilities. All three will have different graphic options: the 5750G is outfitted with NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M discrete graphics with full DirectX 11 support and NVIDIA Optimus hybrid graphics engine.
On the other hand, the 7750G comes with a choice of ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6550 or 6650 discrete GPU. The Aspire 5750 and 7750G comes preloaded with up to 6GB of system memory; out of the two, the 5750 can be further upgraded up to 8GB by using two 4GB modules. When it comes to storage, 7750G can accommodate 750GB capacity drives and 5750 up to 640GB. The notebooks are encased in black, matte mesh pattern that resists smudges and scratches. All three models have LED backlit 1600 x 900 displays. Aspire 5750 and 5750G measures at 15.6-inches, while the 7750G is at 17.3-inches.
All three laptops will also feature Dolby Advanced Audio v2 virtual surround sound and HDMI ports, with the 7750G having an optional BluRay drive. The new Aspire 5750, 5750G and 7750G notebooks are available now at select retailers, starting at $899.99 for the Aspire 5750 and 5750G, and $1029.99 for the Aspire 7750G.
