Garmin Approach S1

Good news for golfers and golf enthusiasts! Garmin International Inc, the global leader in satellite navigation, has just launched the Approach S1, the first ever GPS wristwatch designed specifically for golf. This device shows accurate yardages to the front, back, and middle of greens and is preloaded with more than 14,000 U.S. and Canadian courses. Hence, there’s no need for you to subscribe or download – you just have to select “Start Round”, pick your course, and you’re good to go!

The Approach S1 is constantly updating on the actual real-time location of the golfer and is capable of measuring individual shot distances. It does these functions while serving as your reliable, everyday watch. Great is, it is rugged and waterproof and it weighs only 1.8 ounces. This GPS wristwatch from Garmin is outfitted with an ultra-thin backlit display and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that lasts even up to eight hours when in GPS mode and up to three weeks when set in watch mode. It also features an easy-to-set alarm as well as automatic time and time zone detection, making it the traveler’s ideal companion.

When in golf mode, the Approach S1 swiftly acquires satellites and shows a list of courses nearby. The moment you’ve chosen a course, you will be provided with three distances to each hole and those details are automatically updated and adjusted depending on your angle of approach. While playing, the hole number and par are displayed. If you’re interested in getting one before your next golf tournament, better check the availability of Garmin Appraoch at Amazon and purchase one now!
