ASUS DR-900 E-Reader – Every Little Reader’s Dream

It’s a no-nonsense and hardcore e-reader with all the practical features and none of those dandy trappings. Starting from the screen, it features a 1024 x 768 resolution, 150ppi, 9-inch monochrome (16 grey shades) electronic paper display from SiPix. This touch-sensitive display supports text input with handwriting recognition. Like what any e-reader should be, the ASUS DR-900 is considerably very thin and light, merely measuring 9mm thick and weighs just 370 grams. The reader’s frame is also narrow in design allowing a more pleasant and larger viewing area.
The ASUS DR-900 E-Reader promises an extraordinary long lasting battery life that can last almost days and day’s end of uninterrupted reading. Relatively about a whooping two weeks’ worth reading time without the Wi-Fi and up to 4 days of battery life with the Wi-Fi enabled. Interestingly enough, the battery can be fully recharged in just around 3.5 hours by plugging it into an empty USB port. It keeps all files in its internal 4GB storage expandable via SD Card slot. For getting online, it uses 802.11g and an optional 3.5G HSDPA connectivity.
