Dell finally revealed its Macbook Air rival – the Dell Adamo. Dell created a hype a few months back when news came out that they were coming up with a notebook that would compete with the Macbook Air. And few days ago, they finally announced the first machine in the Adamo line, the Dell Adamo. Weighs a pound more but thinner than Mac Air’s 0.76-inch base, this 0.65-inch notebook from Dell comes in silver aluminum with unique etching and pearl finish; and onyx aluminum with brushed finish.

The Dell Adamo starts at $1,999 to $2,699. For $1,999, you can have the following specs:

• 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor with Centrino Technology
• Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Service Pack 1 64 bit
• 2GB 800MHz DDR3 dual-channel memory
• 128GB SSD

  1. The Adamo definitely has some potential. Adamo’s biggest advantage is the increased number of ports on the chassis. Although I wonde how sustainable this laptop niche will be. If I want small and light, I have my Acer Aspire One. For a powerful work laptop, I need m ore than this laptop has in terms of ports, drive space, screen size, etc.

    Dell’s recent model upgrades and redesigns are definitely giving them a sleeker look. The Mobile Precision M2400 is a different beast than the M2300 predecissor.
