After the launching of the Sony Ericsson Satio as the first 12-megapixel phone, Samsung has announced the equally specced Pixon 12 M8910. So will I say, step aside Sony Ericsson because your elegant Satio will not be the world’s first 12-megapixel camera phone available for purchase?
A response to today’s consumers who demand robust camera features in their mobile phones, the Pixon 12 comes packed with a host of functions which enable users to easily capture, browse, and share their photos on the move. Resembling the original Samsung Pixon M8800, which was released in November 2008, the Pixon 12 features a 3.1 AMOLED touch screen display and a 12-megapixel autofocus camera equipped with Xenon and power LED flash, 28mm wide angle lens, touch-focus, and “Smart Auto.â€
In addition to stills, the M8910 shoots 720 x 480-pixel video at 30 frames per second. And thanks to the Pixon 12’s HSPA and integrated WiFi because users can instantly upload photos and videos to social networking websites like Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, Photobucket, Picasa, and Friendster.
Apart from what I’ve mentioned above, the Samsung Pixon 12 features:
• Quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity
• Dual-band UMTS/HSPA connectivity (900/2100MHz)
• GPS
• Bluetooth
• FM radio with RDS
• 150MB internal memory
• microSD slot
For now, it’s just available across Europe but it will also be offered in markets outside Europe starting August. For other Samsung camera phones, visit this.
