Toshiba 64GB SDXC Memory Card Combines High Level Performance with Increased Data Capacity

SD cards have become the favorite storage medium in terms of size and portability. Today, it is widely used in digital cameras, digital camcorders, handheld computers, PDAs, mobile phones, GPS receivers, video game consoles, and other portable gadgets. It’s just the size of a postage stamp yet it can store data from 4GB up to 32GB. With more storage though, comes the need for faster speeds.

Well, Toshiba is proud to announce that they were able to combine high level performance with increased data capacity. Toshiba have the world’s first 64GB SDXC Memory Card with the world’s fastest data transfer rate. The 64GB SDXC Memory Card will also be accompanied by two new SDHC memory cards, offering 16GB and 32GB capacity – having the same transfer speeds and reaching the market at the same time [all will be available at retailers next spring].
toshiba memory cardsThe new SDXC and SDHC Memory Cards are the world’s first memory cards compliant with the SD Memory Card Standard Ver. 3.00, UHS104. They feature a maximum write speed of 35MB per second and a read speed of 60MB per second.

Capacity is undeniably important when it comes to carrying your digital camera around for extended periods of time, and so as transfer speed. And these memory cards have it all.
