Super Talent Announces World’s First USB 3.0 RAIDDrive

Although USB 3.0 is technically still in its infancy, this hasn’t stopped Super Talent Technology from announcing a new USB 3.0 compatible portable drive called the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 RAIDDrive.

Supertalent USB mouseMeasuring 95 x 37 x13 mm, the drive can deliver impressive speeds and large storage capacities in a truly portable form factor. Yes, it’s fast with transfer speeds of up to 200MB/sec. in a USB 3.0 port, but can reach transfer speeds of up to 320MB/sec. if a separate UAS Protocol driver for the USB 3.0 port is applied. It’s roomy too, as it comes in 32, 64, and 128 GB capacities. The drives take advantage of the patented “multiple pairs of differential serial data lines technology,” which is meant to deliver optimal NAND Flash performance, according to Super Talent.

What’s more, the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 RAIDDRive is compatible with today’s USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports. And like most USB drives, it requires no separate cable. It plugs directly into any USB port. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t released any details regarding the pricing of this new drive but it will be available in December according to them.
