Pentax Imaging Company will release two new compact digital cameras in the market. The Optio P70 and the Optio E70.
Both the cameras seem like siblings due to their names but as far as specs go, they are somewhat more different.
First off, the Pentax Optio P70. The P70 is the more high-end of the two. It will feature 12 megapixel CCD that can capture 720p HD videos at 15 frame rate per second, 4x optical zoom great for better view of subjects, and a 2.7″ LCD display.
Of course, all of these hardware would be rubbish if there wouldn’t be some built in features of the camera. The P70 has a Pixel Track Shake Reduction that will help reduce the blur allowing you to take sharp images, Advanced Face Recognition to be able to detect 32 faces at once and to aid that, a Smile Capture and Blink Detection to allow the camera take pictures when everybody smiles or alert you when someone had their eyes closed.
The Optio E70 on the other hand will sport 10 megapixel CCD, a 2.4″ LCD display and a 3x optical zoom. It can be noted however that it lacks the 720p HD recording capability of the P70 and the spec reduction mentioned.
However, the E70 will still have the great software features that the P70 have.
The P70 will be sold for $199.95 and is available in white, red and silver.
The E70 will be sold for $139.95 and is available in champagne gold, deep blue and red.
