When it comes to high definition, Blu-ray technology is the future. So, no one can stop this fad from spreading, and it appears that Panasonic is ready for the age where Blu-ray has completely replaced DVDs. Panasonic is giving us a pair of dash-mountable devices for your car in the form of CN-HX3000D and CY-BB1000D. For all car enthusiasts, parents who are tired of screaming children in the backseat, and Blu-ray aficionados — this product is for you.
“Bringing home to your carâ€, this was Panasonic’s motto in a press conference last week, and this is exactly what these new in-dash devices are meant to do. First is the CN-HX3000D Windows-powered device, with a 7-inch, 1280 x 720 display offering GPS, Bluetooth, 1seg TV tuner, a 5-channel amplifier, a 40GB hard drive, and iPod/iPhone compatibility. Pair that with the CY-BB1000D Blu-ray player which can support everything except BD-Live. Simply connect it to an LCD screen in your car through an HDMI cable. How fun is that?
But there isn’t much else to discuss other than these details except that both devices are expected to hit stores by fall 2009, and we still have to stay tuned for the prices. Until then, guess we’ll have to shop around first for some cool in-dash DVD players here.
