Olympus Launches E-620 DSLR

Now, anyone can be a photographer after the introduction of the Olympus E-620 DSLR. Just a few days ago, Olympus unveiled its newest addition to the interchangeable-lens SLRs in its E-System lineup – the E-620. Placed as a mid-level model, this 12.3 Megapixel FourThirds Format DSLR camera is intended for anyone who wants to express their creativity through photography, whether they’re beginners or professional.

Designed for freestyling, experimenting, and engaging with events and subjects — this camera is packed with features from the recently launched E-30 like Art Filters, Multi Exposure mode and 4 selectable aspect ratios. But, when it comes to the body, it closely matches that of the E-420 in size and portability. And compared to the E-520, the viewfinder of the E-620 is slightly larger and has been modified so that the information panel appears below the view screen.

The other features to brag about this camera are the image stabilization, the HyperCrystal III swivel LCD that provides 270 degrees of movement, two autofocus systems with face detection (up to 8 faces), and the Shadow Adjustment Technology.

You can have this Olympus E-620 DSLR for about $700. $800 if you want to get the kit with the 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 Zuiko ED Zoom Lens which is very compact and lightweight, offering a 3x zoom range, with coverage from medium wide-angle to classical telephoto portrait.
