This is the latest addition to JVC’s Everio line of camcorders – the Everio GZ-X900. Isn’t it lovely? Well, if you find it attractive on the outside, wait ‘til you see what’s inside this slim, restructured, and handy videocam. The design of the Everio GZ-X900 is different from other JVC camcorders, including other Everio models. Not a lot bigger than a smart phone, the Everio X is a slab-sided rectangle without the handgrip, with minimal protrusions or nicks found on most camcorders, but with maximum usability.

The JVC Everio X is designed to let you make the most of every precious moment with Full HD 1920 x 1080 video and 9 Megapixel still photos. Aside from shooting high-definition video and taking pretty decent resolution pictures, this pocket-sized camcorder can also do fast motion photography. It also lets you create your own ultra-slow motion video. It can take 9 Megapixel pictures at 15fps or 5.3 Megapixel photos at 60fps.

Here are the other specifications of the JVC Everio GZ-X900:

• Format: Video – [AVCHD] MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, Audio: Dolby Digital (2ch)
Still – JPEG
• Storage Media: SD/SDHC Memory Card (not included)
• Lens: Konica Minolta HD
• Zoom Ratio: 5x Optical/8x Dynamic/200x Digital (maximum)
• Monitor: 2.8” 207K-pixel Color LCD
• Power Consumption: 3.7W
• Dimension: 37mm x 66mm x 124mm (W x H x D)
• Weight: 246g (without battery)
300g (with battery)

This is sure one powerpacked little bugger that will give leading camcorders a run for their money. While we’re waiting for this sleek gizmo to hit the stores, why not check out previous Everio models here.
