Normally, 32-inch LCD monitors are not very portable, but the JVC LT-32WX50 wants to change that. It’s just ¼-inch [6.4mm] thin and weighs just 12.5 pounds [5.7kg]. The monitor’s shallow depth makes it ideal for consumers who want the design flexibility such a slim design allows. It also lends itself to a variety of commercial applications.
The LT-32WX50 has a slim module inset along the bottom third that houses the monitor’s inputs and other connections – two HDMI, one analog DSUB and an RS-232C port. And thanks to the edge-mounted LED backlighting, the set has a contrast ratio of 4,000:1, together with 100 percent of sRGB and 90 percent of Adobe RGB color gamut coverage.
There’s also JVC’s HD picture engine for processing both still and moving content, as well as six picture settings: home, retail, movie, monitor, SLR photo mode, and game. Another attribute is that, fewer material resources are used in making the monitor, reducing the product’s environmental impact. Yes, it uses approximately 50 percent fewer material resources and eliminates the use of mercury.
No definite pricing for the LT-32WX50 as yet, but JVC’s promising that it will be available for less than $3,000, this November. So if you want a semi-portable 32 inch LCD, you better start saving. You can also visit Amazon.com for more JVC LT Series LCD TVs.
