It was posted that along with the HP Mini 1000 Mi, other “full blown” laptops will also be coming out from HP. One of them is the HP Pavilion dv3z.

The HP Pavilion dv3z is the thinnest and lightest full featured notebook with an optical drive to come from HP. It is 1.01″ thick and weighs 4.35 lbs. The specs of the dv3z isn’t far from their other Pavilion line of laptops as this is considered to be of business use.

The laptops has 13.3″ diagonal LED display, an Athlon Turion X2 processor, support of up to 8gb of memory, Windows Vista operating system, ATI Radeon(TM) HD 3200 Graphics, a choice of 160gb HD to 400gb HD (includes HP ProtectSmart drive protection) or an 80gb Solid State Drive if you prefer less weight and faster bootup , webcam + finger print scanner, 6 or 9 cell battery, and a handful of other multimedia software that could probably help you use your laptop such as Roxio PhotoSuite 9 Deluxe , Adobe(R) PhotoShop(R) Elements 7.0, Corel(R)PaintShop(TM) Pro X2 or Corel(R) Painter(TM) Sketch Pad.

At first look, the laptop really is business looking and it is intended that way but the somewhat bronze color of the laptop’s keyboard area makes the it a little more stylish.

If you are looking for a decent mid usage laptop the dv3z is one of the things that should be included in your list but dont expect to do some serious gaming on this thing. Of course you could always choose from the array of netbooks that are available in the market if you want ultra portable computing.
