Just when we thought Asus could no longer beat itself in the Eee PC line, they’ll come up with a new model just to show off they’re still the leader when it comes to netbooks. And now, they’re bringing out another innovation that is considered as the first major departure from the traditional and comprehensive range of Asus Eee PC netbooks – the Eee PC T91 Tablet with Intel’s Atom Z520 CPU.
Anticipating that the Eee PC T91 will spend a sizable amount of its time cradled in user’s arms, Asus’ designers made sure to keep it extremely slim and light. The Eee PC T91 measures just 225cm x 164cm and weighs a mere 0.96kg – making it one of the smallest and thinnest gadgets with an 8.9-inch display in the world today.
The Eee PC T91 comes with 3G plus (HSUPA) technology, enabling high-speed Internet access anywhere. With support for 802.11n, users can enjoy faster surfing speeds than previous a/b/g wireless standards. The Hybrid Storage options allow users to choose between different ways to enjoy easy access to data storage. And with the exclusive Asus Super Hybrid Engine’s increased power efficiency, the T91 can deliver an impressively long battery lifespan – eliminating worries about power while on-the-go.
The Eee PC T91 is also equipped with a TV tuner and Global Positioning System (GPS) for extensive entertainment options and advanced navigation capabilities on the go. But the highlight of this tablet is its swivelling touch screen allowing users to perform a myriad of tasks with their fingertips (though users can use the included styles), such as touching up photos, creating photo albums, leaving handwritten desktop memos, sketching cartoons or custom emoticons.
Unfortunately, there is no definite US release date for this tablet. In the meantime, here are some great deals on netbooks.
