DoubleSight Displays Reveals New Line of Smart USB Monitors

Now, laptop users can expand their viewable workplace wherever they are, netbook users can double the amount of visible work space and increase their productivity – at home or on the road, and desktop users can increase their viewable desktop where space is tight. Thanks to this new line of Smart USB Monitors from DoubleSight Displays.Available in either 7-inch or 9-inch versions, each LCD monitor is designed to work with any desktop or notebook with a USB port and can connect up to or as many as six of the displays on one computer. Like most USB displays, it requires no video chipset and works both in landscape and portrait modes. Most apps will work properly, including some Internet and offline videos.

The 7-inch monitor [DS-70U] has a maximum screen resolution of 800×480, while the 9-inch versions [DS-90UC and DS-90U] support 1024×600. The DS-90UC includes a compact Web Cam which plugs into the top of the Monitor. The added feature is perfect for Video Conferencing and Internet Voice/Video Applications such as SKYPE.

All versions muster a 30ms pixel response time and are compatible with both Mac OSX and Windows PCs. Each of these monitors bundles DisplayLink software, an adjustable desktop stand, a protective travel cover for portable use, USB cable and a quick installation guide and Owner’s Manual. Price wise, the 7-inch Smart USB DS-70U goes for an estimated street price of US$120, $140 for the 9-inch, and $160 for the 9-inch with webcam.
