Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 9000 – The Designer CD Player

Start the New Year loud and with a bang! – Literally. Bang & Olufsen have some pretty nice treats for hard core (and rich) audiophiles right before ending 2009 and starting the next year anew. And every audiophile knows that when it comes to high-end sound system, you just got to hand it to Bang & Olufsen to give you the best there is. Their latest product, the BeoSound 9000 is an epitome of Bang and Olufsen’s dedication to beauty and quality. The BeoSound 9000 is a 6 CD music player and an AM/FM radio wrapped in a unique machined black aluminum finish, tinted glass and a hefty price tag. All of the 6 Cd’s are arranged in a row and are read by a single clamper powered by a high speed motor. The 9000 becomes a living art when the clamper randomly moves to access different colored disks as it tries to smoothly jump from one track to another. Add the transparent glass lid that swings open and close via a silent electric motor and you have a fine tuned and visually stunning CD player.

The small intelligent details make the B&O BeoSound 9000 truly unique. It has photoelectric sensors to protect both the equipment from prying hands while the clamper is in operation. The motors are even programmed to return the Cd’s to its original resting position in just the way you loaded them. This is the same with the adjustable hidden buttons and display, they are never upside down no matter how you mount or stand the BeoSound 9000.
