Acer Aspire Revo – The Nettop with NVIDIA Graphics Power

Well, it seems that wherever Asus goes, Acer can follow. Yes, those pint-size, low-cost Eee Box PCs from Asus have new competition from Acer. Acer has announced its Aspire Revo mini PC, which is an ultra-dinky Intel Atom-powered desktop, small enough to be attached to the back of your LCD Monitor.

Estimated for release on the 18th May, 2009, the Acer Aspire Revo will be available in four packages. While all four packages sport the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N230, from what we can tell there’s two distinct hardware configurations here. The base price is £180 (US $267), and with that you will get 1GB RAM, 8GB SSD for storage, and Linux OS. The £300 model boasts 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD, and Windows Vista Home Premium. Tack on £50 more for a 3D controller and ten games, and for £330 ($440) you can have the full package along with a wireless keyboard/mouse.

While we’re waiting for the release of this tiny tiny PC, why not shop around for other Acer goodies right here.
