3D Viewing Has Landed – Glasses-Free!

HDTV hasn’t reached the common household yet, it truly hasn’t reached my house yet either. But currently, standalone 3DTV concept is not far from the horizon. We are all familiar with 3D cinemas where you are required to wear specialized glasses to get the full 3D experience. Now, 3DFusion revolutionized 3D viewing with their 3DFMax platform offering a whole new level of entertainment without the use of those geeky goggles.

Although still in its early stages, the No-glasses 3D is definitely going mainstream especially with the backing of the renowned technology brand, Philips. 3DFusion gave us a glimpse of what is coming during this year’s Digital Signage Exposition in Las Vegas, where it launched the 3DFMaxâ„¢ platform featuring 3D Glasses Free viewing and 3D Broadcast Ready display.

Everything came alive when 3DFusion combined 3DF Max with the recent software from Philips to form the Philips 3D Solutions WOWvx Media Player, the first true 3D TV. Some of the mouth-watering features are application of lenticular lens technology. This allows viewing in full brightness and full contrast — while letting people like me who can’t still afford the product huddle together the electronic store to view the 3D content all at once. In addition, its high definition panel produces calibrated images in both 2D and 3D.

Indeed, Philips and 3D solutions paired up to produce the only product in the market that is able to breach the 3D barrier.
